The most prestigious tennis tournament in the world is Wimbledon. Taking part every year it is the most traditional tournament in the world; highlighted by the fact that you have to wear all white (a tradition that has been lost in other tournaments, with competitors wearing an assortment of bright colours). It is also the only Grand Slam that is played on grass which gives it a uniqueness that merely adds to the aura in which the tournament is already held. With the chance to see some of the most famous and talented sportsmen on the planet battle it out, Wimbledon matches are packed; even the junior matches are a full house with people hoping to see the next Federer or Nadal before they become famous. The tournament lasts for 13 days and is a spectacle that can’t be missed if given the chance.
The only problem is that there are so many people attending that it makes it practically impossible to get any form of public transport after the matches. With so many thousands travelling to and from the stadia every day there is a massive demand for transport which, although the services to attempt admirably, simply can’t be met. The best option for you is to use the car services that are available in the city. By hiring a car you can be in and out of the area quickly without any queuing or standing around; that is surely the best way to finish a day of watching tennis!

We had originally rented a car through Hertz down in London, through the internet, but apparently, there was damage to the car a couple of weeks before we were to arrive, so the owner was nice enough to refer us to Wimbledon Car Company. We needed an automatic, which isn’t too much of a problem in Britain although you can sometimes have a bit of trouble, but WCC proved to not only be very reliable, but less expensive than the other major agencies that are in the city. Upon arrival at the station at 7 in the morning, an agent was there, and after a few very short minutes of paperwork, we were given the car, which was a brand new Volkswagen Polo. I believe we were the first customers to drive it. The car had full AC, a radio/CD player, a sun shield, and a map, and the agent was very helpful in directing us to our hotel and also to other areas of the island we wanted to see. The car also had a parking permit which would allow us to park in the more expensive car parks in Wimbledon. He left us his phone number as well and was available 24-7 for any problems, though fortunately there were none. Customer service was top-notch and we had absolutely no problems returning the car either. The car was fully insured and there were no hidden fees whatsoever. Overall we had a tremendously positive experience and would definitely recommend the agency for future rentals. A company that I would thoroughly recommend!
