I cannot wait until Wimbledon 2010. I think that we may even have a UK winner this year and it will be so exciting. I always try to go there and see a few matches, even though the big courts are getting rather too expensive for me to afford these days. I think that I might save money and watch some of the promising new comers on the smaller courts instead as that can be just as much fun I always hire a car and then make sure that I get to the grounds when they open so that I can settle myself in a good seat for one of the early matches. If I go in the second week I sometimes watch the youngsters playing or the older players, depending on which is the most exciting.
I study the program a lot and I have still got the programs from all the years I have visited, some rather dog eared and a few with signatures of players on them. I am not star struck but when the opportunity arose for me to ask for a signature I thought that I would get it as it may be something worth passing on to my children that they could get some money for, as I am spending all of the rest of their inheritance and enjoying myself! That is why I am watching the tennis, I also go to other sporting events, have breaks abroad and generally have a good time – I worked hard enough and I deserve it!
